Are you an independent financial advisor?
Yes, we are independent financial advisors affiliated with Raymond James. While Raymond James has the resources to match even the largest firms’ capabilities, we aren’t limited to what products we can offer since we are not beholden to a larger corporation and its offerings. You can learn more about Raymond James here.
Are you a fiduciary?
We follow a fiduciary standard throughout the financial planning engagement. As such, we will place your interest ahead of our own when providing professional services.
Do you have a CFP® on your team?
Yes, Lauren Smith, our Managing Partner, is our resident CFP® and oversees all of our financial planning for our clients. You can learn more about the CFP® here or get to know Lauren Smith better by reading her bio, located here.
What types of clients do you work with?
While we work with a variety of clients, we find we are best able to serve High-Net-Worth Families, Business Owners & Executives, Pre-Retirees/Retirees and Divorced & Widowed Women. You can learn more about the clients we work with here.
What are your fees?
We primarily offer fee-based advisory services charging a flat fee based on a client’s total assets under advisement. However, if deemed appropriate and in our client's best interest, we also provide commissioned brokerage services.
In a fee-based account, clients pay a quarterly fee, based on the level of assets in the account, for the services of a financial advisor as part of an advisory relationship. In deciding to pay a fee rather than commissions, clients should understand that the fee may be higher than a commission alternative during periods of lower trading. Advisory fees are in addition to the internal expenses charged by mutual funds and other investment company securities. To the extent that clients intend to hold these securities, the internal expenses should be included when evaluating the costs of a fee-based account. Clients should periodically re-evaluate whether the use of an asset-based fee continues to be appropriate in servicing their needs. A list of additional considerations, as well as the fee schedule, is available in the firm's Form ADV Part 2 as well as the client agreement.
What is your minimum investment amount?
Generally, the clients we work with have at least $2,000,000 available to invest.
Where do you meet with clients?
While we are based out of Houston, Texas, we can accommodate clients from all over the United States utilizing various technologies. Client meetings are held in person, via telephone call or via videoconference.
Why should I consider hiring Winstone Wealth Partners?
Spoiler alert: financial advisors are all pretty much the same. But we believe what sets us apart is how well we listen to – and truly hear – our clients. We invest in real, meaningful relationships from day one, which is something you can’t find just anywhere these days. How do I get started?
The best way to get started is with a real conversation with one of our real team members. You can learn more about scheduling that complimentary call by clicking here.
The most rewarding part of my job is when I get that card in the mail, that email or those words when face-to-face from a client thanking me and the team for truly helping them. For helping solve a complex financial issue they were having and just couldn’t see the light of day on it. We have received many of these kinds of thank you’s over the years, and I keep them all in a file and look at them from time to time when I may be having a bad day. It truly lifts me up and reminds me what our purpose here is: Empowering people to find freedom.
